A complex yet balanced creation, ‘Vento di Fiori’ by Bois 1920 combines subtle chic with bold audacity. The top note opens warm and sensual with exotic spices and a hint of Sicilian lemon, which is layered on an intense, green heart note of Indonesian patchouli and galbanum resin from Iran, casually enveloped by jasmine; it evokes the scents of a misty forest after a summer thunderstorm. Pulsating notes of musk and ambergris dominate the fragrance, bringing out all its intoxicating magic.

The brand Bois 1920 reflects the Galardi family's passion for the art of perfume making: it all began in 1920, when Guido Galardi, the company's founder, collected lavender in the hills around Florence to test his first recipes. His research focused on the development of essential oils, perfumes and scented sachets. Guido Galardi loved fragrances and dreamed of opening a shop in Florence for his unique scents: the Bottega Italiana Spigo. His dream soon became reality and he opened his shop in the heart of Florence, which quickly attracted the attention of many perfume lovers. However, just a few years later, the dream came to an end – Guido's son Renato had other interests and was not interested in taking over the family business, so Guido's long-cherished and finally realised dream was shelved and the shop closed.
Sometimes, however, life is full of surprises and history repeats itself: Guido's sensitivity, artistic talent and fascination with fragrances were passed on to his grandson Enzo. From an early age, Enzo was fascinated by fragrant essences, completely enthralled by the world of fragrances and explored their creation and diverse possibilities. At the tender age of fourteen, he even sought out Piero, the great expert in the world of fragrance extracts. In 1985, Enzo finally followed his passion and turned his calling into a career, officially joining the family business.
In 2005, Enzo created the Bois 1920 collection in honour of his grandfather, whose name is derived from Guido's shop – Bois as an abbreviation of its initial letters and 1920 as the year it was founded. Enzo reinterpreted his grandfather's original recipes and used only the finest raw materials for their composition. His grandfather's dream was thus revived thanks to his grandson – a magnificent ending, or rather, a new beginning for a family saga.
