This time, however, the scented wax, the waxed cotton wick and the legendary oval have been literally reinvented and combined into an object that could only have been designed by this perfume company.
This object, completely new yet strangely familiar, is Diptyque's scented oval.
Inspired by grandmother's lavender sachets and perfumed soap bars, designed to disappear into a chest of drawers, the perfumed oval is a unique object created to fragrance, but also to decorate.
The perfectly perfumed oval by Diptyque is a white porcelain medallion enclosing a piece of perfumed wax. Its oval shape bears the unmistakable signature of Diptyque, as do all its candles, fragrances and skincare products.
The delicate and fine structure contrasts with the translucent, silky softness of the wax, which is stamped with the name of the fragrance. The perfumed oval is decorated with a simple, elegant waxed cotton cord, which makes it easy to hang anywhere.
