Lavender is the soul of Haute-Provence.
‘At harvest time, the evenings are full of fragrance... The colours of the sunset are the cut flowers scattered across the fields.’ – Jean Giono, Provence, Folio collection, Editions Gallimard 1995
Lavender is so closely associated with Provence that locals sometimes don't know that it was only introduced during the Roman invasions. The Romans gave the region the name Provincia Romana, from which its current name is derived.
‘As a perfumer, I love the harshness of these landscapes and the beauty of the lavender fields, where swarms of blue butterflies flutter in the air.’ – Jean-Claude Ellena
Lavande Romaine
A cheerful fragrance that dances and sings with the scents of summer.
Perris Monte Carlo - Fragrances from Grasse
Following the success of the Les Parfums de Grasse collection, launched in April 2019, Perris Monte Carlo is delighted to launch two more olfactory creations. They are dedicated to the capital of fine perfume, the city of Grasse.
Jean-Claude Ellena, the famous nose with an international reputation, who was born and raised in Grasse, has created the Grasse Collection for Perris Monte Carlo. Gian Luca Perris, artistic director and founder of the Perris Monte Carlo brand, greatly appreciates working with master perfumer Ellena. He asked him to capture the magnificent, fragrant environment of Grasse in scents.
‘... Jean Claude calls himself the “writer of fragrances”, I love to call him the perfume poet, and it has been a real privilege to work with him on this project.’ – Gian Luca Perris
Following Jasmin de Pays and Rose de Mai, Perris Monte Carlo's sensual journey continues with two more symbolic flowers from the Grasse collection: mimosa and lavender, translated as Mimosa Tanneron and Lavande Romaine.
