Papillon Perfumery - Epona
Epona embodies the cherished memories of Liz’s bond with her beloved horse amidst the beautiful English countryside. Inspired by their intimate connection, it captures the essence of long summer days, a warm leather saddle, and the sweet meadow breath of her horse. The fragrance intertwines notes of leather, opoponax, labdanum and vetiver to evoke the rich scent of a well-worn saddle and the sensual aroma of a horse’s coat. With a subtle hint of saddle soap accord, reminiscent of the tender care lavished upon a faithful companion. Epona is a nostalgic ode to the timeless bond between horse and rider held in nature’s embrace.
Liz has placed her own leather accord and distinctive horse accord against honey, oakmoss and petitgrain for a complex and stirring capturing of horse skin, leather, and summer meadows.
The packaging
Hera is an extrait de parfum and will be available in 50ml bottles. The packaging for this fragrance is a reverse colourway of the Papillon brand colours of the black and gold packaging for the eau de parfums. Instead, Hera will be packaged in a premium gold box with black foiling. The reverse colour packaging will easily differentiate the extrait from the eau de parfum and adds to the overall luxury of Hera. The bottle will also be screen printed in gold, with this gold print containing particles of real gold.
