Promise by Dominique Ropion is the second fragrance creation in this collection and celebrates one of the strongest interpersonal bonds: keeping one's word. While travelling in the Middle East, Frédéric Malle observed that a promise between two people is subject to the strictest code of honour. He himself identifies with this principle and all similar binding principles. In his opinion, people all over the world are connected by the fact that they keep their word and hold each other accountable. This principle is also at the heart of Editions de Parfums.
Special features of this perfume
A deep and dark sea of amber, enriched with patchouli and bringing the rose to life. No oud, only its echo. Frédéric Malle and Dominique Ropion condense this promise and the artistic standards it represents into two types of rose: rose essence from Bulgaria and rose absolute from Turkey. Both are enhanced by apple, pink pepper and clove and bound to a sensual base of patchouli, nagarmotha and labdanum.

Desert Gems Collection
The Desert Gems Collection was inspired by the sacred status of perfumes in the Middle East. It began with the Prophet Mohammed, who wore perfume himself and considered perfuming an essential part of the cleansing ritual before prayer. In Arabic, the times of day have religious and symbolic meanings that have shaped many of the names in the collection. ‘The Night’ and ‘Promise’ were created by Dominique Ropion, ‘Dawn’ by Carlos Benaïm.
