Commodity was founded in 2013 as a modern American perfume brand that reimagines fragrances. Modern in design and elemental in approach, the brand stands for the belief that simplicity is the new luxury. Today, this vision is driven forward by founder and creative director Vicken Arslanian. As an experienced brand developer who was born into the world of perfumery and trained as an architect, he and his creative team are continuously refining the art of fragrance creation – element by element.

Ideas about perfume can vary greatly. Some want a fragrance that is reserved just for them, others prefer scents that are perceived by everyone around them, while still others love fragrances that fill the entire room.

Scent Spaces – 3 intensities for every taste

Commodity has developed the so-called Scent Space so that everyone can find their own fragrance and control its intensity.

Scent Space is not a new term for concentration; it only refers to projection—how far your fragrance travels and who else it impacts. Scents with low concentrations tend to fade quickly, and just because someone wants a close projection doesn’t mean they don't want their fragrance to last. That's why all Scent Space fragrances are formulated with concentrations between 15% and 25%, technically making them Eau de Parfums.

Each fragrance is available in 3 Scent Spaces: a skin-close Personal version, a balanced Expressive version and an enhanced Bold version.

The Personal collection is for those who prefer a subtle, intimate fragrance that is only perceived by them and the few people they allow close to them. Gentle, ethereal and luxurious, these molecular compositions have a hint of their Expressive counterpart and embody the concept of less is more.

The Expressive collection is considered by many to be the perfect blend of longevity and charisma. These fragrances make a statement without filling an entire room, allowing them to be noticed by those around them.

There is no modesty in the Bold collection. Enriched with exotic notes, these fragrances are amplified versions of their Expressive counterparts. They are designed for those who want to make their presence known, for themselves and everyone else.
