The top note of opoponax, also known as sweet myrrh, immediately creates a honey-sweet, smoky sensuality, a rich, intoxicating ambergris scent. In the heart note, labdanum underscores the creamy softness of the eau de parfum, while geranium provides a sparkling freshness. Byredo is a Stockholm-based company that specialises in the production of exquisitely crafted, high-quality fragrances.Byredo was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham, who is still the owner and creative director of the company. Born in Sweden, he grew up in Canada and the USA. He studied at the Swedish Academy of Realistic Art in Stockholm and worked as an interior designer and basketball player before turning to the world of fragrance. With Byredo - the name stands for 'by redolence' - Ben Gorham is pursuing his own agenda: "I have always been fascinated by the world of scents and the way they affect my memories and impressions. With Byredo, I want to share my personal experiences and contribute to an almost collective memory that evokes places and times.
