La Sélection Boisée is a box containing three legendary woody fragrances: Black Saffron, Mojave Ghost and Super Cedar.
Super Cedar
The scent of cedar is undoubtedly one of the smells that our nose recognises most easily. It immediately brings to mind pencil shavings and evokes nostalgic memories of school days and simpler times. Cedar wood is reminiscent of log cabins and Scandinavian furniture and lends a certain warmth to modern design. In a perfumer's palette, it adds energy and depth to the fragrance composition.
Mojave Ghost
A woody composition with a light and graceful character that slowly reveals its true strength. Intoxicating top notes of musky ambrette combine with sweet, fresh Jamaican sapodilla fruit. Delicate, powdery violet unfolds to reveal a soft character, fading into sandalwood brightened by fresh magnolia. Finally, warm Chantilly musk rounds off the base of fresh ambergris and elegant cedarwood to keep the aura of ‘Mojave Ghost’ lingering on the skin.
Black Saffron
The fragrance ‘Black Saffron’, an oriental composition, opens with a light citrus accent of Asian grapefruit and fresh juniper berries, embedded in a relaxing golden silage of saffron from Kashmir. At the heart is black violet, embedded in a leathery accord in which the dark, dry composition is lifted by the delicate transparency of crystal rose. At the base, light woods add radiant warmth and harmony, underscored by staccato notes of juicy raspberry.
