When Ben Gorham lived in Italy, he frequently observed the Romany washing their clothes in the nearby river. Gypsy Water is the result of Gorham's fascination with the Romany people and their lifestyle. The scent itself as a tribute to their free and independent, proud and colourful life in harmony with nature. Gypsy Water evokes images of fresh soil, deep forests and campfires, and is fitting tribute to the ancient myth of Romany life.
A hesperidian and pepper rendezvous in the top notes, accompanied by fruity, tangy juniper berries lead to a smoky-woody heart: Frankincense, pine needles and iris create an impression of forests and campfires, while a base of ambery vanilla and sandalwood, evokes images of sweet, colourfully glowing embers.
