Atelier Oblique is a luxury perfume label founded in Berlin in 2016 by Mario Lombardo. The invisible language of fragrance and the art of its craftsmanship are the brand's guiding principles. All Atelier Oblique products are composed using only the finest ingredients sourced in France, in collaboration with the renowned perfume house Robertet, and are handmade in Germany. Firmly rooted in our time yet classic at their core, the fragrances are not only a window into our history, but above all a deep breath of the present and a dance with the unknown.
The collection
The ‘Alphabet Collection’, a 27-piece scented candle series, was launched in February 2016. With their unique perfumery approach, the room fragrances follow a fragrance wheel that moves from the crackling aromas of a spring day to pastel winter vistas and fresh autumn days to the mystical, tart notes of a long, hot summer night. A four-part eau de parfum line followed in spring 2018. The strictly limited unisex fragrances bear the unmistakable signature of Mario Lombardo. The fragrance compositions by Atelier Oblique move between modernity and classicism, their scents taking us on an olfactory journey that celebrates luxury without compromise.
Mario Lombardo
Mario Lombardo is one of the most renowned designers of our time and has been shaping the national and international design scene for many years. His work is considered groundbreaking, demonstrates social relevance and has been honoured with hundreds of national and international awards and a monograph. He has always playfully transcended stylistic boundaries in his work, daring to do the splits between diverse and seemingly incompatible disciplines, thereby creating new connections between language, space, aesthetics and materials. As a designer, Mario Lombardo shaped the style of an entire era, focusing on experimental and manual design in the age of digital aesthetics and breathing life into print media. His passion for craftsmanship continues to this day.
