Anatole Lebreton - Caribe Kiss

What's it all about? Fun and holidays! Caribe Kiss evokes wild parties where excitement mixes with joy, where there are no worries and the rules are suspended. It's a lavish, anachronistic pool party at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A cheerful holidaymaker flirts with the bartender, who mixes her a piña colada with pineapple, coconut water and rum. The drinks and the merriment take over before spreading to the surrounding neighbourhoods in a general euphoria shared by tourists and locals alike.

At the heart of the composition: a cocktail of fruity notes opens the exuberant fiesta: juicy pineapple, succulent mandarin pulp, creamy coconut water... Amidst this explosion of happiness, the royal flower – tuberose – makes its dramatic entrance, flanked by jasmine and petitgrain absolute. The floral heart intensifies and, at its peak, blends with creamy, fruity notes to create a colourful, crazy bouquet. Mate absolute adds its exciting green facet and then mixes with tonka bean in a hint of spicy hay to bring this extravaganza of bliss to a delightful end.

Mehr über Anatole Lebreton

As his name suggests, Anatole Lebreton was born in Brittany, in the countryside by the sea, where he soaked up epics, sagas and legends from an early age. As an adult, he first brought his passionate temperament to the stage, in the theatre. He then left this behind to sell fine chocolate and rare teas, which allowed him to develop and refine both his sense of smell and taste. As a lover and collector of old perfumes, Anatole began writing about them in his blog ‘Civette au Bois Dormant’, before switching sides and creating his own perfumes. With a great deal of intuition and effort in applying the processes, Anatole was guided by his respect for the history of perfume and his desire for free and boundless expression. After several secret experiments, he launched his eponymous brand in 2014. His perfumes tell stories full of emotion and enthusiasm.

Perfumes of freedom

‘Of the five senses, smell is the one closest to our ancient and animal instincts. Smelling is something wild and free, a way of accessing the world, of touching it and being touched by it. There is something raw, barbaric and untamed in the art of smelling. But without perfume, I feel naked and bare.

I create perfumes that clothe and unclothe you, connecting you with the primal and the physical. I love to feel the heart beating, moving and trembling, permeated by fantasies and secrets. My perfumes are like me, they are alive. They tell stories and entice you to travel, to return to your roots, to your own sensations.

I see my perfumes as landscapes or daydreams. Creating or wearing a perfume is like an exploration and a journey, like being conquered while conquering. Wearing a perfume means having imagination, like a little extra olfactory ‘je ne sais quoi’ that brings magic to life.’ Anatole Lebreton
