A reflection of the Orient.
‘My desire to bring shimmering oriental silks to life inspired me to create ‘Oud Satin Mood’. For the creation, I imagined wafting scarves that lay delicately on bare skin kissed by the dazzling light of the sun. You want to wrap yourself in this emotion as a fragrance and lose yourself in the wonderful expanse of the moment.’ Francis Kurkdjian
‘Oud Satin Mood’ is a creation in the fabric-inspired fragrance collection “Oud Mood”. The fragrance is a free interpretation of the very rare and precious raw material oud and conveys the desire to bring shimmering oriental silk to life.
Oud wood from Laos nestles against a rose essence from Bulgaria and a rose absolute from Turkey, rounded off by the finesse of a violet accord and the creamy flavours of vanilla and amber.
Oud Mood
The collection was created during the long tête-à-tête with the exquisite raw material in the creation of oud and depicts various interpretations of the perfume. Kurkdjian sees the three fragrances as sensations, as emotions - as if one were wrapped in a fragrant stole. They provide cosiness and warmth. They are precious, intense and concentrated.
Each fragrance is presented in a blue lacquered bottle adorned with a golden lid. A golden plaque bears the name of the fragrance and emphasises its preciousness. The box cover has the same lattice window pattern as the classic ‘Oud’ and is also in blue.
