To kick off the colourful autumn season, Paul Smith is presenting a limited edition scented candle as part of its home collection.
When he first started out, Paul decorated his first shop himself for Christmas with real pine branches, giving the small basement store a warm and festive atmosphere – the inspiration for Merrymaker.
A sensual interpretation of this memory – based on cardamom, pepper, mahogany and nuances of patchouli – creates a cosy, comfortable and nostalgic ambience.
The design: An opulent, festive colour scheme with dark plum and bright scarlet.
The glass
Made from two-tone, complementary glass, the vessels are designed to be reused. They come with a lid that doubles as a coaster to protect surfaces from heat and spills.
The interplay of light and colour was key to the design of these striking vessels, which, when lit, subtly echo Paul Smith's signature stripe. Even the box, with its unique zip design, has been carefully thought out and is a nod to Paul Smith's expertise as a tailor.
Use: Only burn this candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Keep the wick trimmed to 5 mm. Do not use when 10 mm of wax remains or a wick disc is visible. Allow the wax to harden before moving. Take care when extinguishing the flame. Keep a distance of 20 cm between candles and allow sufficient space around the flame.
