Nachdem sie sich zehn Jahre der Kreation von Parfums im Auftrag verschiedener namhafter Marken gewidmet hatte, befreite sich Majda Bekkali von kommerziellen Zwängen. Sie wollte sich künftig weniger auf den Vermarktungsaspekt konzentrieren, sondern vielmehr künstlerisch frei und sinnvoll arbeiten.

 

„Ich wollte andere Wege gehen, mit kostbaren Essenzen und neuartigen Formen arbeiten und dabei meiner Kreativität freien Lauf lassen. Also habe ich damit begonnen, olfaktorische Skulpturen zu kreieren. Mein Ziel war es, an die Tradition der Kunstparfümerie anzuknüpfen, indem ich ihr einen modernen Anstrich verlieh.“ Majda Bekkali.
